Broken Arrow

Broken Arrow

The flickering torch captures a carving on the wall, with a picture of an arrow, snapped in half like a twig.
The emblem of a nation.
When we’re invaded and our nuclear weapons are useless,
And the human outpost of Rebel Alliance is all that stands between our galaxy’s complete destruction,
Our shields will show a split atom bomb.
Both recognising our science, our silence, and our complete defeat.
Our greatest weapon, crushed, stepped on, like a twig.
We carry with us our own shield emblem,
Carrying our defeat
Wherever we go.
Snapped like a twig.
Our broken arrow.
