Walking Into A Room

Walking Into A Room

I know this carpet
It tastes like home
Because I absorb nutrients through my hooves

My childhood flickers on the television
It’s still cool
And I’m cool because I watch it
And occasionally Martha Stewart
Even though I don’t actually know who she is
Did she invent soap?

I just hit my shin on the coffee table and it hurts like that time I accidentally taped over the final half an hour of Go West with an episode of Power Rangers
The episode wasn’t that good
But it doesn’t matter anymore since the Marx Brothers are now available on DVD

It was nice to visit
But there’s another door coming up
And I’m going there
Baby
